About Us

In 1927 a small band of Christian Scientists formed a church group. In 1942 the group was recognized as a Society by The Mother Church, the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts. In April 1951, the name was changed to Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, Washington, DC.

Over the years services have been held at 9th & “T” Streets, NW; 1512 “R” Street, Northwest; 2122 Rhode Island Avenue, NE; 509 11th Street, SE.

And today, Seventh Church holds services in its new building at 1204 47th Place, NE, Washington, DC.
